Lauren comes to us with years of experience in plumbing and lighting but her exceptional listening skills come in handy when she is piecing together a client’s vision for their home. When she is not developing creative design concepts you can find Lauren in her home relaxing, exercising to Latin music, or out at brunch!
How did you arrive at WCDB, what path brought you here?
I connected with West Chester Design Build through Anna! We attended school together and when WCDB started looking for another full-time Interior Designer she reached out to me. I was working at Ferguson Bath, Kitchen & Lighting Gallery as a Customer Service Representative and although I enjoyed the work I was doing there it wasn’t exactly what I had gone to school for, so I accepted the position at WCDB and I am very excited for the future!
What are you known for professionally, what do you have a knack for?
During my time at Ferguson Bath, Kitchen & Lighting Gallery, I gained an extensive amount of knowledge and experience with plumbing and lighting – they are like second nature to me. Other than plumbing and lighting, I have a knack for creativity and piecing together my client’s vision for their home. Most people know what they like but they aren’t sure how it goes together, or they have trouble picturing it and that’s where I come in.
What’s the one problem you are best at solving for your clients? What do your ideal clients say about you?
My clients would say that I am a good listener, and that skill helps me solve their design problems. Listening is key when you are delivering design concepts to clients. I want to be able to interpret their needs and take their vision from A to Z.

What are you most passionate about professionally? What most excites you about your work & the contribution you can make?
This position also allows me to fully use my education and training. I am most excited about developing creative layouts and selecting materials and finishes that make-up one cohesive design. The best part is presenting the concepts to clients and watching their face light up! At the end of the day, I just want my clients to love living in their home.
What are you passionate about personally? What do you really enjoy? What can’t you stop talking about?
In my free time I enjoy spending time with my husband, my cat and my family. I also enjoy traveling but I recently bought my first home and I am becoming more and more of a homebody. I am passionate about drawing, traveling, food, crafting and my health. I also enjoy engaging in conversation and listening to what people have to say.
Where can we find you when you’re not working? What’s your favorite way to spend a weekend or a Sunday afternoon?
On the weekend, or whenever I am relaxing, you can probably find me catching up on my shows, at the gym, or enjoying some good food. I love brunching!
How long have you been doing what you do?
I graduated in 2014 from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a B.S. in Interior Design – and I have been working in the industry for 5 years.
Where did you grow up and why aren’t you there now?
I grew up in Reading, PA and my family still lives there. I wanted to branch out from my small town and find more lucrative job opportunities which led me to this area. I first moved to King of Prussia with my boyfriend and started working at Ferguson Bath, Kitchen & Lighting Gallery. Now my boyfriend and I are married, and we bought our first house in Oreland, PA.
Any volunteer activities you’re crazy about?
I would love to get more involved in volunteering – possibly something with the local rescue league. When I was growing up, I had thoughts of becoming an Animal rescue Cop or a Vet.
Any nonprofits you love, & why?
St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital is one that has always stuck out to me. I hope someday that childhood cancers can be something of the past. Also, the local pet food stores that assist in animal adoptions are ones I try to help as well. I always try to donate when I can.
