Ryan comes to WCDB with almost 20 years experience. He is passionate about quality craftsmanship and spending time with his family.
How did you arrive at WCDB? What path brought you here?
After being employed by a reputable remodeling company for many years, I decided to pursue the path of self-employment. On this path, I met up with Chris and WCDB.
What are you known for professionally? What do you have a knack for?
I am known for doing quality work and doing it right the first time. I have a special knack for problem solving and creativity on the job site.
What’s the one problem you are best at solving for your clients? What do your ideal clients say about you?
My clients recognize my commitment to them and their project. Customers have shared that they appreciate how I work hard at trying to understand their needs and vision throughout their project.
Who have you worked with in the past? And what have you done for them?
Previously, I worked as an electrician for 5 years with a company in Elverson. I then worked for a high end remodeling company for 18 years. I also had the opportunity to help complete The Arc Encounter project (currently the worlds largest timber frame project) in Williamstown, Kentucky.
What are you most passionate about professionally? What most excites you about your work & the contribution you can make?
I am most passionate about doing quality work on a project. Do it right first time. I take pride in knowing that I don’t take short cuts on my projects. I feel happy knowing my clients are getting good quality craftsmanship.
What are you passionate about personally? What do you really enjoy? What can’t you stop talking about?
Faith, family and the outdoors (hunting, fishing, hikes)
Where can we find you when you’re not working? What’s your favorite way to spend a weekend or a Sunday afternoon?
Spending time with my family – fishing at the lake, my son’s hockey games, eating out
How long have you been doing what you do?
Where did you grow up and why aren’t you there now?
I grew up in Morgantown, Pa. After a year long mission trip to Sweden, I met my wife in Downingtown, Pa. We soon married and bought our first home in West Chester, Pa. After 2 babies and one more on the way, we outgrew our home and moved to our current home in Downingtown. It was there our 4th baby was born.
Any awards or medals, or even medallions? Personal okay, too.
In High School, I was part of the Twin Valley Cross Country team and we won the PA State Championship. I won trophies for skateboarding, baseball and track and field. Also, our first year of marriage, our church had a Valentines Day cook off. I took first place with my Cajun Catfish dish!
What would be impossible for you to give up?
Coffee or Movie night with the family
In the end, how do you want to be remembered?
I want to be remembered as a simple guy who worked hard to provide for his family and tried his best in everything.

What is a highlight or memorable story about working with WCDB?
One thing I really like is stopping in the office on Friday afternoons. It’s nice hearing about what’s going on with the other jobs and of course sampling the variety of snacks and drinks!!! 🙂
