With a new baby on the way and no existing “family room” in their 1920’s mainline home, this couple knew they were in need of an addition to accommodate their growing family. The couple came to West Chester Design Build and trusted our team to capture their vision.
A Creative Solution
Without a foundation expansion, we were able to add square footage onto the home by creatively converting an oversized garage into practical living space. With the garage doors removed, a complete renovation allowed the space to take on new life. The new custom designed living room is now a warm, welcoming area, conveniently accessible through a large, open doorway right off the kitchen.
Quality Details & Timely Completion
Vaulted ceilings and high quality Marvin casement windows gave the space a fresh, open feel while the flooring choices, stairwell detail, and even the heating elements were carefully chosen to keep with the 1920’s character of the home. With a baby on the way (and therefore a tight deadline on the project), our team worked to deliver the new, amazing space for this family in a timely manner.
